THE SACRED TEACHINGS OF ALEISTER CROWLEY

This instrumental album takes as inspiration the great sage Aleister Crowley, and the unveiled Kabbalistic system which Crowley expounded.

Nuit (a woman whose arched back is the night sky) may be understood as the aggregated set of all possible experiences; Hadit (a winged globe at Nuit's heart) is a manifest one of these experiences being experienced. Thus, consciousness (Ra-Hoor-Khuit) is the union of these two.

Crowley said:
"Above, the gemmed azure is
The naked splendour of Nuit;
She bends in ecstasy to kiss
The secret ardours of Hadit.
The winged globe, the starry blue,
Are mine, O Ankh-af-na-khonsu!"

PSA: if there was an album you heard a couple years ago and thought it was ok, listen to it again and you might love it. That's what happened to me with this album. I cannot fathom why it didn't stick with me back then. Same thing happened with Decoherence's Unitarity for that matter. Matten
